Sate Celup or Satay Celup is a Melaka dish where an assortment of raw and semi-cooked seafood, meat (including raw meat) and vegetables on skewers are dunked into a hot boiling pot of satay gravy. Many tourists and locals consider satay celup a favorite because there are more than 80 types of seafood and vegetables to choose from and the sauces are thick and aromatic.
Capitol Satay Celup Restaurant was started in 1900 in way of Kandar Pole Satay. Until the name of Capitol Satay since 1950 and was formerly known as Luk Luk or Satay Celup in Melaka. They have closed down their Bukit Cina restaurant in Dec 2021, this restaurant has been relocated to Kota Syahbandar in March 2022.
